Great Tastes City Tour

When it comes to great food and wine, Gisborne is New Zealand’s land of abundance. The expansive Pacific coastlines offer up plenty of seafood. The fertile lands produce a bounty of fruits and vegetables. The plains are home to grapes that yield rich flavours perfect for wine-making.

Tairāwhiti Gisborne has often been called ‘the Chardonnay capital of New Zealand’ – but other red and white wine variants have also done well for themselves. Whether you are in the mood for merlot, cabarnet sauvignon or pinot gris, a glass or two from our Gisborne wineries are definitely worth trying. There are approximately 20 Gisborne wineries in the area that offer casual tastings of their range.

This tasty tour takes you around our port, rivers, town beaches and connects you to all three great taste sites within our city limits. The Gisborne City Cycle Tour is the perfect trip for those who have an afternoon to spare. You will be sampling locally made wines, beers & ciders with a light lunch/platter at one of our selected sites.

The Gisborne City Cycle Tour offers easy riding and you will travel +/- 8 kilometers.

The tour costs $150 per person for 2 people, which reduces to $135 each for 3 or more.
